to fight begging during the month of Ramadan
Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs chaired the second meeting of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports High Command Committee, at the Directorate HQ Conference Room, on Monday morning, in Dubai.
A number of Agenda issues were discussed during the meeting, including follow up of strategic activity and the implementation of strategic plan phases of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector.
The meeting also reviewed a presentation made by the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai about Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs Systems Solutions Project. It is a Strategic Electronic System which serves all Categories, Departments and Outlets of the country. It depends on the Federal Government Plan and MoI Strategy. It goes under the Title “2015 Plan”. It aims to unify procedures between different Naturalization, Residency and Outlets Units.
Then the meeting discussed the ongoing preparations to fight begging phenomenon during the Holy Month of Ramadan, absconding of domestic staff from sponsors and the recommendations made during the Arab Children Health Conference.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms of dealing with Residency Law violators, authorizations regarding issuance of entry permits for visits and a number of issues regarding residents and tourists’ affairs in the country.
At the end of the meeting the Chairman and Members of the High Committee made necessary decisions and made recommendations which would serve work, implementation mechanisms and coordination between different Naturalization, Residency and Ports Units.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ghareeb Mohammad Al Hosani, Director General of Outlets and Airports, Brigadier Obeid Miheir bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Directors General of Residency and Foreigners affairs in the country.
The Naturalization, Residency and Ports High Command Committee was formed by the Ministerial Decree No. 226 of 2010.
