Ministry of Interior is launching tomorrow "Monday" an online and field survey to explore the public opinion of the best media tool for spreading police news, whether it is printed press, televisions, radio stations, or social media networks and websites on the Internet. This step comes in implementation of the Ministry's strategy to maintain the public’s confidence through providing best services of high quality. It is also a continuation of the approach seeking to employ scientific methods and studies to improve and develop means of communication with the public.
Lt. Col. Saeed Al Khaja, Deputy Director, Security Media Department in the General Secretariat of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, explained that the survey will show through its results the means and media sources favored by the public in regards to news and information of the Ministry. He noted that it aims to measure the level of public overall satisfaction, get a close up to the opinions of the public, and understand their community aspirations in terms of media.
He called upon the public to participate in the survey through the Ministry’s website: http://www.moi.gov.ae/, and through Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters website: http://www.adpolice.gov.ae/. He explained that the survey will last for a month and will cover all community elements of different cultural and age (+18) segments at the UAE level.
He explained that the survey will increase the level of effectiveness of media campaigns implemented by the Ministry. It will ensure the reach of news, information and messages to the largest targeted categories of the audience, through means deemed appropriate by the public, in addition to developing and improving the Ministry’s services and channels of communicating with the public.
The Deputy Director of Security Media Department mentioned that the survey will be conducted in two phases: the first will be online, and the second will be in the field which will include distribution and analysis of 3500 feedbacks of members of the community. The analysis will be performed throughout the UAE police headquarters, as each of the general headquarters will distribute 500 survey materials to clients and visitors of headquarters.
He added that the field survey will be implemented in a scientific manner in different languages (Arabic, English, Urdu, and Malayalam), noting that it was designed in a simple way, and it takes into account saving the time of the public in order to simplify the process of participation in it.
