INTERPOL lauds MoI for establishing Child Protection Center
Mr. Ronald K Noble, Secretary General of INTERPOL praised the efforts and contributions of the UAE represented by the Higher Committee for Child Protection at the Ministry of Interior in combating crime including child protection.
Dr. Ronald expressed gratitude for of the Ministry of Interior’s endeavors to establish the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Center (MOICPC).
Secretary General of INTERPOL has earlier met at the INTERPOL headquarters, Lyon, France with a delegation from the ministry of interior headed by Lt Colonel Faisal Mohammed Al Shammari, director of the (MOICPC).
The two sides explored a number of issues of common interest especially international efforts of promoting children protection.
The initiative to establish the Child Protection Center materializes the directives of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior to make the UAE a modern center for child protection, Al Shammari pointed out.
During the meeting, the two sides have also tackled the efforts made by the Virtual Global Taskforce (VGT) and the cooperation between the Interpol and Ministry of Interior as effective members in achieving the noble goals of this international team.
The delegation comprised Major Saeed Al Hajeri, Major Rashed Lotah, Major Omar Al Tunaiji, Captain Hamad Al Ajmi, Captain Ali Al Rahbi and Lit. Abdullah Al Nuaimi.
