ADP confirms the importance
on looking after released prisoners to enhance social security

 

A new study released by ADP Center for Research and Security Studies, under the title “Post-release care for prisoners as a preventive measure” has confirmed that looking after released prisoners is an important means to care for them integrate them into community, in order to make use of their abilities so as to enhance social security and safety.

The study draws attention to the fact that considering released prisoners are persons who deserve care and guidance makes them integrate into their community and environment. Thus they can easily deal with their relatives and acquaintances and achieve psychological relief and sense of being human beings.

The study, which falls in 70 pages, is carried out by Lt. Colonel (Dr.) Iyman Mohammad Ali Al Jabri, shows that the care for released prisoners is one of the main tools that assists them to return to normal social life. Such ideas have received great attention from international organizations specialized in punitive policy and from criminology scientists.

“Deterrence and violence is the pivot of punitive policy. One of the main purposes of punishment process is to reform the criminal in a way that guarantees his non-return to crime”, added Iyman.

”ADP GHQ has paid attention to caring for released prisoners and their families in a preventive way to ensure their non return to crime”, added Iyman.

The study also discusses the theoretical framework of looking after released prisoners, purpose of care, difficulties they face, the country’s duty towards them, international care for them, their care in international documents, United Nations efforts towards them, experiments of other countries in this field, scientific and professional qualification of released prisoners and monitoring them by police as a precautionary measure.
