ADP acquaints the public with the Unified Traffic and Licensing System
ADP showcased the Unified Electronic Link Project of Federal Traffic and Licensing System (UELPFTLS) at the International Security and National Resilience Conference and Exhibition (ISNR 2010), to show them how to complete the traffic and licensing procedures.
Policemen at the show answered visitors' questions and inquiries concerning the system and the services it delivers.
Brigadier Gheith Al Zaabi, Director General of Traffic Coordination said "UELPFTLS provides all services related to payment of fines, renewal of driving licences and vehicle registration, issue of vehicle registration replacement, change of vehicle color, change of vehicle particulars, vehicle number booking, issue of ownership certificate, tourist travel certificate, export certificates without export plates and transfer certificates within UAE without export plates". He added "The System can allow customers to issue release certificates to cancel the plates in GCC. All these services can be done without refer to the source of the vehicle".
"The Department of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing has launched the service with insurance companies so that the Department can receive an electronic copy of insurance documents before the registration of the vehicle", he added.
The system is characterized by simple and quick procedures without referring to other departments to finalize them. The system developers' team receives any remarks and takes necessary action without affecting the progress of customers' transactions. The system is based on a unified database linking all Emirates for easy and quick access. The system is also linked with the Criminal Security System, Naturalization and Residency System, in order to reduce the required documents.
Customers can finalize their transactions at any Emirate or on the internet, automatic payment machines and SMS.
