The Emirates Institute for Naturalization and Residency and Outlets at the Ministry of Interior has signed on Tuesday at its headquarters a memorandum of understanding with the UN Regional office for Drug and Crime (UNODC) on training employees at the institute.
The MoU was signed by Director of the Emirates Institute for Naturalization, Residency and Outlets, Major Mohammed Saeed al Ameri and representative of the UN regional office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Judge Dr. Hatim Ali.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the UN office shall provide training programs, material, experts and instructors. It shall also contribute to the development of training cadres for the institute in accordance with the latest international methods and systems.
Both sides will be able to exchange expertise, information, studies and consultancies related to the security work, a part from enhancing the use of technology on training sessions to combat crime and control border outlets, according to the Institute’s priorities and requirements.
Al Ameri stressed the importance of signing such agreement with the UN office to upgrade the institute so that it becomes able to undertake its message. He expressed his thanks to the UN office for its efforts and cooperation to spread knowledge.
Dr. Hatim believed that the MoU marks the beginning of cooperation with the institute to set up a plan for the type of services offered by the Office.
