15 companies violate the law of private security business in Northern Emirates
The campaign launched by the Department of Private Security Business at MoI in coordination with the Directorates General of Police in the Northern Emirates resulted in spotting 15 companies not complying with the Ministerial Decision Number (557) of 2008, regarding the Regulations of the Federal Law Number (37) of 2006, concerning Private Security Business.
Colonel Ahmed Mohammad Al Hanttoobi, Director of Private Security Business Department said "8 companies have been spotted in RAK, 4 companies in Ajman and 3 in Um Al Quwein, operating illegally. They have been referred to Public Prosecutors in each Emirate. In the case of conviction, they will be punished in accordance with Article (20) of Private Security Business Law. Punishment will be prison sentences or a fine of Dh 20 thousand”.
“Non compliance with the Law and its Articles will lead to imposing of punishments and fines stipulated in the Law and its Regulations, and Article (4) of the Ministerial Decision. Except in cases of family homes no individuals, government agencies or departments, semi-government or private institutions, companies or enterprises can employ, appoint or recruit security guard in their premises except through a federally licensed company”, added Al Hantoobi.
