The Employees Performance Appraisal Department in the Human Resources General Department at Abu Dhabi Police organized a meeting for liaison officers of work incentives and career paths at the Police Officers’ Club.
The meeting discussed a framework that outlined tasks and duties required from the liaison officers to develop work incentives and career paths in order to spread the awards culture implemented in Abu Dhabi Police. Twenty-five liaison officers from every Abu Dhabi Police department were present at the meeting.
Major Mohamed Hasan Al Baloushi, Chief of the Work Incentives Section at the Employee Performance Appraisal Department, stated that the workshop aims to spread and promote a culture of incentive among police personnel. He further noted the need for the staff to be aware of the incentive systems implemented at the Abu Dhabi Police.
He reaffirmed the attentiveness of the police leadership to honor and motivate distinguished personnel by implementing the Ideal Employee Award, recognizing distinguished personnel, and issuing certificates of commendation and appreciation, as well as other various incentive programs and systems. The police leadership also awards medals and accolades to police personnel.
For his part, Captain Mohammed Khalfan Al Zaabi, Manager of Control Affairs Branch at the Career Path Section at Abu Dhabi Police, said that the career path methodology is divided into three operations: functional career officer plan for Police Academy Graduates; the training career path program; and the general framework of career paths for leadership posts. Additionally, there are career path cards for officers, non-commissioned officers, individuals, and civilians regarding functional data that help their future careers. He explained the role of the liaison officers of spreading the career path culture among all employees in their respective departments.
This introductory workshop falls within the plan established to strengthen communication and coordination between the Personnel Appraisal Department and methodology liaison officers.
