The Human Resources General Directorate, represented by the Employees Performance Appraisal Department of Abu Dhabi Police, organized a workshop to introduce the Ideal Employee Award on Tuesday at the Police Officers’ Club.

The workshop was attended by 75 officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel from the different departments of Abu Dhabi Police. Attendees were acquainted with the Ideal Employee Award project in its new edition, and the electronic contributions system.

In his lecture delivered at the workshop, Captain Abdullah Karami Al Ameri, manager   of the Non-Commissioned Officers and Personnel Affairs Branch at the Job Motivation Section of the Employees Performance Appraisal Department indicated that the Ideal Employee Award is fully supported by the leadership of Abu Dhabi Police. He also pointed out that the award aims to motivate employees to develop their skills and competencies, and to improve their level of functional performance to get the honor of receiving this award.

Al Ameri added   that this award is the first stage to qualify employees for H.H the Minister of Interior’s Award, the “Ideal Employee Category”. Moreover, he highlighted the various categories of the award that include areas of supervision, technical excellence, engineering and specialized jobs, as well as the administrative and field excellence, and the new “Distinguished Employee Award”.

Concluding, Captain Al Ameri gave a simple overview of the electronic contributions system that has been converted from the paper-based mode. This aims to streamline procedures and keep pace with technological developments. He also reviewed the work mechanism of the monitors, the way to post and add contributions and the importance of documenting them.
