The Strategy and Performance Development Department of the Civil Defense General Command  organized a seminar on the concept of modern environmental protection at the Rotana Hotel in Al Ain. The seminar was held in collaboration with the Al Ain Civil Defense Department.

 The seminar was initiated by Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammad Hamar Ain Al Darmaki, Director of the Civil Defense Department, who stressed the importance of environmental preservation and awareness-raising plans and activities.

 The seminar focused on the importance of the environment and the negative effects associated with pollution. It also covered the correct preventive methods to limit pollution and protect the environment, in addition to the importance of recycling and its positive impact on society.

 The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Civil Defense General Command organized the seminar exemplifyin its interest in environmental preservation, in order to spread the concept of a pollution-free environment. The Ministry of Interior aims to do this by undertaking a series of appropriate measures and informing members of the Civil Defense General Command of the need to preserve the environment. Additionally, the Ministry of Interior promotes upholding an ideal ecofriendly system to carry out all transactions with the Ministry of Interior and its affiliates.  Lieutenant colonel attended the seminar in addition to a number of the Command's officers and employees.
