The Committee for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes at the Interior Ministry, headed by Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Nehkairah, Director of the Human Rights Department of the Ministry, Chairman of the Committee, held a meeting with representatives of the Ewa’a Shelters Centers in Abu Dhabi and The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), at the Al Etihad Auditorium, Ministry of Interior.

The meeting comes as part of the keenness of the officials in the Interior Ministry to strengthen cooperation and coordination with key partners in many issues including the fight against human trafficking and victims' protection.

During the meeting, results of cooperation with partners in 2011 have been discussed, and the future mechanisms between the Ministry of Interior and Ewa’a have also been set up.

 Meeting was attended by Colonel Mohammed Ali Al Shehhi, Head of local coordination, and Lt. Col. Mohammed Al Zaabi, head of combating human trafficking at the Department of Human Rights, members of the Committee, Sarah Shuhail, Executive Director of Ewa'a Shelter for Women and Children Victims of Human Trafficking, and Afra Al Basti Executive Director The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC).
