The Diwan Department in the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters developed an electronic Partnerships Management System (PMS). The system was developed in coordination with one of the IT companies in order to automate the partnership’s work procedures and activities and run them electronically in accordance with an integrated ecosystem linked with the methodology of managing relationship with partners.

Brigadier Mohammed Rashid bin Kasheem Al Shamesi, Head of the Diwan Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, mentioned that this step comes as an embodiment of the strategy of Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters. He continued that the strategy aims to build effective partnerships, and benefit from creativity and innovation by using modern techniques, pointing out that the number of the registered partners in the electronic system reached about 200 partners.

He also noted the completion of the stages of preparation and experiment of the partners’ electronic system, and training the methodology liaison officers and their deputies on using the system and granting them the permissions, along with starting the practical application. He said that this aims to activate an advanced system for managing partnerships electronically on the internal network. He pointed out that Abu Dhabi Police is the first government authority at the country’s level to achieve entrepreneurship in the field of partnerships by using modern technology in managing the partnerships with a high level of electronic connectivity.

Furthermore, he explained that the electronic Partnership Management System (PMS) represents a key database for collecting all partners’ data in an accurate way, through including all of their details, the details of their activities and everything related to them.

He added: “data updates are constantly done by work teams, where the system allows the review of the details of the data of each partner’s profile. It is provided with analytical capabilities to calculate the extent of each partner’s importance according to specific criteria, and also contributes to evaluating the partners and providing each partner separately with results in high levels of accuracy and transparency.”

Hel also indicated the importance of the partnerships electronic system as a bridge of communication, and for strengthening the relationship with partners in order to establish sustainable relationships for the benefit of all parties. He shed light on the importance of supporting liaison officers and their deputies in choosing their partners, their appropriate classification, and effective communication with them. He highlighted the features included in the system such as indicators’ measurement and the strong support for the authorities responsible of partnerships and decision-makers to improve the performance and management levels and the partnerships activities efficiently and effectively.

He clarified that the system contributes to facilitating strategic planning processes, and provides reliable, high-quality and immediate information that meets the needs of data users within police departments, each one by the field of specialization. He said that the system provides the necessary information and high reliability evidence for the work teams and the relevant authorities in line with the growth of participations and competitions in organizational excellence prizes by applying the highest standards of information security within the scope of partnerships electronic program.

Al Shamesi also urged the partners’ relationship methodology liaison officers to continue the positive collaboration with partners in a way that preserves the achievements and gains of the Abu Dhabi Police in the field of social partnership, so as to contribute to the development of police services.

For his part, Captain Khaled Omar Ahmed Al Zubaidi, Chief of the Key Partnerships Section highlighted the importance of the documentation of cooperation and strengthening it with partners by Abu Dhabi Police. He noted that importance of improving the quality of the services provided to the public, keeping pace with its development, and expanding the partnership’s range, which forms a main component of the interests of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, and employing them in development and modernization.
