Delegation from US embassy visits Abu Dhabi Police department

A delegation from the US embassy visited the Abu Dhabi Police department to get acquainted with the emergency preparedness of the police in providing emergency services to the accident victims in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs.
Colonel Ahmed Naseer Al Raisi, director of the operations department, at the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police, received the delegation and gave them the briefing regarding the preparedness of the police in providing emergency services to the people at the time of need.
He also said that it is the directive of His Highness Lt.Gen.Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Interior to provide all possible and immediate assistance to the accident victims. The department is fully prepared for this with all necessary equipments and vehicles manned by people who are well trained in providing first aid and rescue operations, he said.
The delegates were also briefed about the other activities of the emergency department in creating awareness among the people so as to reduce the accidents as well as any loss of life. The department periodically conducts exhibitions and seminars for various segments to educate the people about providing first aid and other necessary safety measures.
The delegates were also briefed about the kind of trainings given to the people of the emergency department, the number of vehicles and other equipments kept ready for the service and the speed with which the service is provided for saving lives in case of accidents.
The delegation appreciated the efforts of the police department and expressed their gratitude for giving the opportunity for them to visit the department and know about the emergency operations of the police department.
