The Directorate General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police has developed an institutional development module based on communication, knowledge and empowerment. This comes within the efforts of the teams that work to improve the quality and outcomes of work efforts, and to activate and enable institutional performance by improving job performance in accordance with the highest levels.

Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the importance of developing the institutional performance of police bodies. “This will contribute to strengthening the leading role of the Abu Dhabi Police, as we always strive to provide the best services and to improve and develop the work system,” he said.

“The developed module is an interactive and flexible framework that reflects the appropriate work mechanisms for managing change. The module focuses on developing the tools and outcomes of the instruments that enable institutional performance, and links them the internal communication agendas at the meetings of the Directorate General,” Al Harithi said. “This will contribute to the next phase of monitoring the initiatives, development projects and treatment plans; along with the subsequent opportunities to improve as a result of the outcomes of the modules.”

He explained that the module is based on activating a number of key pillars, including: performance indicators to monitor and follow-up with the results; external communication to achieve the desired goals; creativity and innovation by adopting creative ideas and energies; and understanding customer complaints to improve the work quality. It will additionally highlight the external and internal communication methods alongside monitoring opportunities for improvement; implementing field visits to work sites; following-up on the quality systems and department readiness; and focusing on a series of brainstorming sessions to promote the performance and ensure continuous development and improvement.
