ADP: Graduation of two courses at the Special Tasks Department
The Special Tasks Department at the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks of Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 32 staff members from the Special tasks and Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Departments. The graduates have successfully passed two specialized courses, notably the "Selection and Preparation of Shooting Trainers" and "Emergency First Aid & Initial Action Steps ", which were organized by the department in cooperation with experts from the French police.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the Lt. Colonel Sultan Al Nasseri, Chief of the Government Premises Protection section at the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department, and Major Faisal Ali Al Kathiri, Chief of the Training Section at the Special Tasks Department, and representatives of the French embassy.
Lt. Colonel Sultan Al Naseri asserted that the courses are part of the annual training plan at the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks. They also come in line with the directorate’s development strategy, to qualify its human cadres, so as to keep abreast of security and police work developments and updates.
He called upon the graduates to double the efforts to improve police work, and develop their scientific and practical skills, to be able to assume the great responsibilities of maintaining the urban progress and development process taking place in the country.
