A delegation from the Ministry of Interior, headed by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, recently visited the Canadian Police, to get acquainted with the best practices and inspection mechanisms adopted at the Operations Room, which is closely linked to the Operations Center affiliated to the Municipal Council in the Capital Ottawa. They also were acquainted with the mechanisms applied to handle false reports.
This visit aims at exchanging expertise and the ways to implement best practices to enhance the services provided to the public and avail the distinguished experiences of developed countries in this field.
Major General Al Raisi and the accompanying delegation also reviewed the inspection methods adopted by the civil defense; as well as the monitoring scheme of Civil Defense operations; the approved time of response, and the risk identification mechanism at the Civil Defense Centers in the Canadian Capital.
The delegation members also visited the prisons’ inspection department at the Correctional and Punitive Establishments in Canada, where they learned about the investigation office, and its field of specialization, the investigation methodology, and the reports issuance mechanism. They were also acquainted with the Correctional and Punitive Establishments’ inspection and monitoring patrol; the workflow of the committee concerned with major complaints, the time frame required for analyzing and responding to these grievances; in addition to the adopted systems for government complaints and means of handling grievances.
