The Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Sports Activities Department, the National Teams and Competitions Branch, held a coordination meeting with the police departments at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. The meeting discussed the participation in the eighth edition of the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016 to be held in Abu Dhabi from 15-23 April at Zayed Sports City.

The meeting reviewed the plan established to ensure security during the championship, and the activities provided by the Abu Dhabi Police departments within the events held in conjunction with the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016.

Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the Ministry of Interior and member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, stressed that the participation of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ as a diamond sponsor in the eighth edition of the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, embodies the strategy of police leadership to enhance communication, build partnerships, and achieve positive interaction with the different community entities and institutions.

Additionally, Colonel Al Dhaheri explained that the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2016 to be hosted by Abu Dhabi is one of the most important sports and youth events in the world. “The championship will feature more than 5,000 of the world's best male and female players from 100 countries. It will also include family events and interactive activities,” he said.
