Developing Capabilities of 61 Members of Abu Dhabi Police Guards
The Special Tasks Department at the General Directorate of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police developed the capabilities of 61 members in three specialized courses that were organized in collaboration with the French Ministry of Interior. The courses fall within the framework of the strategic plan of the Department to enhance the capabilities of its staff and foster their efficiency by enhancing their readiness in order to help developing work mechanisms at the Department.
During the graduation ceremony, Colonel Ali Hassan Khaseif Mohammad Al Kindi from the Special Tasks Department said: “training police staff falls within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Police strategy to qualify its members and enhance their professional capacities according to best international practices and modern applications.”
For his part, Major Faisal Ali Omar Al Kathiri, Head of the Training Section at the Special Tasks Department noted that the courses’ topics focused on units’ movement in plain clothes, VIP protection and evacuation, and self-defense against an attack with a cold weapon.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Major Ibrahim Al Manai'e, Head of the Anti-Riot Section; the Security Attaché at the French Embassy in Abu Dhabi; Captain Hussain Ali Al Hamadi, Head of Anti-Riot Training Section; First Lieutenant Mohammad Ghareeb Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, Head of Curriculum and Courses Section.
