Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, paid a visit to firefighter Salem Al Dir’e, from the Al Ain Civil Defense Department, who is recovering from a work-related injury sustained while fighting a fire that took place in the city.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Al Marzouqui inquired as to the patient’s health and wished him a speedy recovery. He additionally lauded the role of the Civil Defense personnel, who risk their own lives in order to save the lives of others and to fight fires; and emphasized his pride in the leadership of the Civil Defense for the humanitarian actions of its honorable and patriotic personnel who endeavour to maintain the lives and properties of the nation’s citizens and residents alike.

Maj. Gen. Al Marzouqi was accompanied by Brigadier Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Executive Office of the Federal Civil Defense Sector Development Council; and Lt. Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, alongside a number of officers.

For his part, firefighter Salem Al Dir’e expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude for the visit, which raised his spirits. He said that the visit stresses the attention and care shown by the senior officials of the Civil Defense towards their personnel, and highlights their keenness for their safety.
