The Al Ain Highways Section, represented by the Public Relations Branch, took part in the event organized by female students of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), under the theme “Save a Life”.

The event, which is intended for visitors of the Al Ain Zoo, aims to encourage efforts to preserve lives and provide a safe environment. It also aims to acquaint visitors with the importance of children’s car seats in vehicles, in cooperation with the Al Waha (Oasis) Private Hospital in Al Ain, to protect children from potential dangers and keep them safe in all circumstances.

During the event, the Al Ain Highways Section displayed the ‘Tathqeef’ Education Patrol, and distributed educational brochures, in a bid to boost the public’s awareness pertaining to a host of traffic-related issues. This approach would enhance traffic safety awareness amongst the various segments of society, commensurate with the Traffic and Patrols Directorate’s methodology, and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ strategy to ensure an ‘accident-free society’.

Captain Hamdan Hassan bin Thiban, Public Relations Branch Manager at the Al Ain Highways Section, said that participating in such events is part of Traffic and Patrols Directorate’s diligent efforts to reinforce community participation in order to preserve the lives of road users and their safety.

Captain bin Thiban called upon motorists and road users to abide by traffic laws that were enacted to protect them from road hazards.
