The General Directorate of Police Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) has organized open meetings at a number of its directorates for its staff comprised of officers, employees, and other individuals. This step falls in line within the framework to strengthen and activate the internal communication methodology for the employees working at the General Directorate of Police Operations.

Major General Omair Muhammad Al Muhairi, Director General of Police Operations, reiterated the keenness of Abu Dhabi Police to activate the internal communication channels between the leadership and the staff. “Opening up the lines of communication will have a positive impact on developing the work environment and the quality of services provided,” he said. “Listening to the viewpoints of our personnel will provide us with even more opportunities to improve.”

According to Major General Al Muhairi, customer satisfaction lies at the forefront of the Directorate’s priorities. Through an integrated and multifaceted system, the internal dialogue that utilizes the viewpoints and observations of the staff members is the most influential axis of the system; which contributes ways to achieve the highest level of communication with the public and to provide the best services in the police field.


In this context, the Al Ain Police Directorate recently organized an open meeting with the police patrol staff at the Al Ain Police Officers Club Theatre.

Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, said that the meeting with the patrol staff was held with the intention to listen to their views, comments, and suggestions directly; which benefits the development of the system for field work based on the police’s duties to fight crime and maintain security and stability.

Colonel Al Rashidi added that the active participation of employees is among the top reasons for success in achieving the goals set forth by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. He said that through learning more about the staff’s viewpoints, there are more possibilities to implement the suggested improvements throughout all fields of security.

The participating staff made several intercessions which included a number of suggestions that may prove to be beneficial to field work. At the end of the meeting, Colonel Al Rashidi thanked the participants and encouraged them to exert further effort and dedication.
