The fourth edition of the Family Safety Forum commences today, Wednesday, at the Heritage Village at the Emirates Park Zoo in Abu Dhabi. The forum is organized by the Community Police Department, at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and will continue for three days.

Major Yousuf Faraj Al Hassan, Acting Head of the Community Police, said that the forum embodies the Community Police’s keenness to provide the highest levels of safety for the family entity, as well as physical, psychological, health and environmental security.

Adding further, Major Al Hassan said: “Participants in the forum are committed to fulfilling their role in educating children, who are a vital segment of society, the pillars of the present and the future generation of youth, who will further advance the country’s progress.” Major Al Hassan also noted that the forum will include a number of cultural and awareness activities and recreational shows; in addition to educational workshops aimed at inculcating the culture of safety and other important in children.

An exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the Forum and will involve government departments and private institutions partnered with the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ). “The exhibition will include a section that highlights the achievements of the Community Police in terms of societal participation, as well as analytical statistics about the department’s achievements quick response to societal issues and its efforts to provide the appropriate solutions,” Major Al Hassan concluded.
