A delegation from the Security Support Department at Abu Dhabi Police left the UAE on Saturday en route to Los Angeles in the USA on a two-week visit that will include taking part in the LAPD daily patrols and training, as per the expertise exchange program.

The Abu Dhabi Police delegation includes Captain Mohammed Ibrahim Al Balas, Operations Planning Branch Manager; Lieutenant Ahmed Mubarak Al Bloushi, Patrols Officer at the Department; along with a number of officers and experts from the department.

Colonel Khaled Saeed Al Shamesi, Head of the Security Support Department, said that the visit is the second of its kind to the LADP. “The first visit aimed at exchanging mutual expertise between both parties and at getting closely acquainted with the different tasks and duties undertaken by specialized police bodies. This second visit will focus on enhancing ways to benefit from the police field expertise in all areas of police and security work related to security support, by participating in the training and daily tasks carried out by the LADP,” he said.

Colonel Al Shamesi also noted that female staff members from the department will be taking part for the first time in this visit. “This reflects a keen interest to reinforce the professional and technical efficiency of both female and male staff members, by providing highly efficient professional training programs, in support of the development goals and aspirations.
