A delegation from the Creativity and Leadership Development Center at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, made field visits to Oxford University in the UK and the Civil Service College in the Republic of Singapore, to review the best international practices and experiences  to qualify and develop leaders’ skills.

Lt. Colonel Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Director of the Leadership Development Center, hailed the unwavering and continuous support of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in order to promote the goals of the Leadership Development Center. He added: “The vigorous follow-up of his Highness to the Center’s work represents an impetus and incentive for the Centre's management and staff members towards doubling their sincere efforts, and exerting further giving so as to achieve the vision of the police leadership, and maintain the prominent stature of the Ministry of Interior.” Moreover, he stressed the keenness of the ministry to nurture future leaders and promote the distinguished competencies that enhance development efforts and keep abreast of the latest developments.

He explained that the visit focused on enhancing coordination and cooperation with Oxford University in the UK and the Civil Service College in the Republic of Singapore, by attracting highly qualified internationally accredited lecturers, in addition to exchanging expertise in developing leadership competencies.

Lt. Colonel Dr.  Al Ali reiterated the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to develop leadership skills and competencies according to the best developed international standards, based on innovative scientific and practical approach. This approach includes training on the implementation of projects related to the police work, examining and identifying the best international practices to achieve the Ministry’s strategic plan, which calls for developing human resources’ competencies and leaders’ skills.

It is worth mentioning that the Center strives to achieve the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Interior, implement institutional excellence, and nurture and develop staff members in an exceptional way, as well as individuals with outstanding creative skills.
