double their efforts in order to achieve MoI Strategy
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has urged commanders and directors general of police in the UAE to double their efforts for distinguished strategy for the Ministry of Interior. The difference in views between commanders and directors general is a healthy factor to reach an strategy that in line with the Federal Government Strategy for better service for citizens and residents.
This statement was delivered by HH during the two-day workshop on the Comprehensive Strategic Development Project of MoI (MoI Strategy 2010 – 2015), organized by the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at MoI. The workshop took place at the Armed Forces Mess in Abu Dhabi.
"MoI participation in Sheikh Khalifa Award of Government Excellence Programme is necessary. Getting the award by ADP and Dubai Police is an incentive for MoI to get the Award on permanent basis", added HH.
HH asked police commanders to cooperate with Sheikh Khalifa Award Programme Follow up Committee to finalize MoI file for participation in the Award. HH wished all best luck.
The workshop reviewed strategic plans of key and support jobs at MoI. Major General Sheikh Talib bin Saqr Al Qasmi, Director General of RAK Police and Colonel Mubarak bin Dukhan, Deputy Director General of Sharjah Police, Brigadier Ali Abdullah Alwan, Director general of Ajman Police, Colonel Mohammad Rashid bin Nayei, Deputy Director general of Al Fujairah Police and Sultan Ali Al Shuwaikh, Director General of Um Al Quwein Police submitted Policing Strategy in each Emirate to HH for discussion and approval in preparation for moving to phase four of the project, implementation phase. Brigadier Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Director General of Correctional and Punitive Establishments at MoI submitted to HH the strategic initiatives of the Establishments and major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, MoI Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs submitted to HH the Strategic Initiatives of the Sector.
Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Acting Director General of Civil Defence delivered a lecture on the Strategic Initiatives of his Directorate.
Major General (S) Khalifa Harib Al Kheili, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services reviewed the importance of support services in achieving MoI vision and the success of strategy and development plans implementation.
Major General Mattar Salim Miseid Al Niyadi, Director General of MoI Electronic Services and communications delivered a lecture on strategic approach of electronic services and communications at MoI and strategic approach of electronic services and communications for the coming five years.
Brigadier Ali Mohammad bin Darweesh, Director general of MoI Human Resources delivered a lecture on the strategic approach and initiatives of human resources for the coming five years.
Colonel Mohammad Ali Al Marzouqi, Acting Director General of Finance and Support Services reviewed strategic goals and initiatives prepared by the Directorate General of Finance and Support Services and the strategic goals and initiatives of the Department of Engineering Projects and Building Maintenance and the Department of Transport and Workshops.
