Abu Dhabi Police general Headquarters has achieved great success in communicating effectively with the internet users, especially the youths, by setting up special pages for ADP at the social sites which attract large numbers of users at local and international levels, such as the Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.
The above statement has been made by Lt. Colonel Saeed Hussain Al Khajah, Emergencies and Crises Media Supervisor, Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. He has affirmed the importance of the role of electronic sites in supporting positive interaction with the public. They also contribute to dissemination of security culture and awareness through methods which keep pace with the time, to reach the community members. ADP GHQ seeks to make use of information technology development in areas which serve police objectives.
He believes that acquainting the community members with the correct role of ADP and the different services it delivers will urge them to participate effectively in the efforts made to maintain the country and community security and stability.
He also explains that the existence of the internet facilitates many of life requirements. It becomes part of our daily life. We surf the net to find information we need or to visit a site for certain transaction. We prefer to use the net for recreation and social communication. We can not think of living without the internet.
ADP success, in less than one year, in achieving its aims to communicate effectively with internet users, 24 hours and 7 days, is represented in the large number of responses from media, security and police personalities. They all contribute their views on ADP sites. This shows the importance of these technological means in strengthening ties and increasing the public trust in ADP role through modern ways.

This site is selected="true" because it is the first in the social net, and the second at all electronic sites level. It has large number of fans in comparison with other sites. ADP has set up a page for it within this site. A working Team has been set up to follow up, update the page and reply to visitors' questions and comments, round the clock in Arabic and English.
Our aim is to reach as large number of the public as possible, in order to communicate ADP messages and news. The page is linked with the Blackberry Service, where those subscribe to this service will receive the awareness messages. Awareness messages mostly related to traffic and roads conditions. There are also Briefs on ADP campaigns, which include photos, video clips, news and essays.
