Drivers told to reduce speed during foggy weather
The Department of Traffic and patrols at ADP has urged motorists on internal and external roads to reduce speed and keep safe distance during fluctuated weathers.
Major Ahmed Salim Al Niyadi, Head of Media and Public Relations Section at the Department urge school buses drivers to be more attentive and take utmost care for male and female students' safety. The same applies to bus drivers who transport employees and laborers.
If the vision is poor during foggy weathers drivers are advised to stop their vehicles, switch off lights and try to take utmost necessary safety measures. During night driving drivers shall not use long lights as this may affect other drivers' vision. Motorists shall abide by traffic police directions especially on highways. Especially truck and heavy vehicle drivers.
