Capital Police Directorate Ramadan tent witnesses a festive evening
 in honor of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan

 

ADP Capital Police Directorate (CPD) celebrated the 6th anniversary of the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former President and founder of the UAE (May his soul rest in eternal peace), with the presence of Colonel Maktoum Ali Al Shareefi, Director of CPD of the Directorate general of Policing Operations, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hamadi, Director of CID, a large umber of police officers, citizens and residents, in order to commemorate the 6th anniversary of Sheikh Zayed’s death.

CPD prepared an integrated programme to commemorate the achievements and legacy of the country’s founder at the Ramadan Tent Form, organized by CPD in collaboration with Al Hilal bank as exclusive sponsor and a number of public and private sectors departments and institutions.

The programme included a documentary movie about the late Sheikh Zayed’s career under the title "Zayed was the pride of Emirates", prepared by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH Lt. General the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. A number of poets delivered poems on Sheikh Zayed.

Mohammad Fadhli, Director of Media in Zayed Giving Organization delivered a speech about the founder, his achievements, his qualities, his wisdom and his methods of building the country and providing a dignified means of living for its people.

Then Dr. Omer Al Kibeisi from the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments delivered a lecture where he spoke about the late Sheikh Zayed achievements, virtues, benevolence and generosity which reached all countries.
