ADP development stages reviewed during Al Doha Forum
ADP GHQ participated in the 5th GCC Forum for Quality Implementation in Government Sector. The Forum was organized in Al Doha under the theme "Building Institutional capabilities to achieve national Vision", under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabr Al Thani Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the period from 11 to 12 April 2010.
ADP delegation comprised Lt. Colonel Dr. Saeed Mattar Al Saridi, Major Abdul Rahman Al Aattas, Major Ahmed Bu Haroon, Captain Rashid Abdullah Al Dossari and Media Expert Muhideen Qasim Ismaeel. The aim of the participation was to know about others expertise and to present ADP progress over years in areas of development and change.
Captain Al Dossari, Head of Institutional Excellence Secretariat Section at ADP delivered a working paper under the title "Development and Change Progress in Abu Dhabi Police". The paper reviewed the most important stages that ADP has had undergone since its establishment in early fifties of the previous century, until today. He also reviewed ADP projects, administrative and technological systems.
The working paper went on to speak about obstacles, challenges and problems that ADP faced and how they were solved. He talked about Abu Dhabi Government vision, political agenda and institutional work mechanisms with local institutions of Abu Dhabi. He referred to success factors and leaned lessons, including unlimited support for change culture and keeping pace with time developments. He stated the quality system adopted by ADP, awards received and important achievements.
The Qatari Quality Group and the Middle East Quality Society organized the Forum in collaboration with a number of GCC Ministries, Institutions and Companies from Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
