The Watani – UAE Foundation honored the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior for its significant efforts to raise awareness among students taking part in the summer camp organized recently by the Foundation, under the theme: “My Work Makes My Country’s Flag Fly High”.
Lt. Col. Dr. Hammoud Al Affari, Acting Director of the Law Respect Culture Bureau expressed his pride for this honor, emphasizing that it’s a responsibility that requires following-up the Bureau’s efforts to ingrain legal awareness in community members, with a view to boost loyalty for society and its legal system.
“Watani – UAE is a strategic partner to the Law Respect Culture Bureau. Both entities endeavor to inculcate high values and principles in young people, so they understand at a very young age, the true meaning of “belonging” in terms of respect for the law, public order, and individual commitment to achieve the public good,” stressed Lt. Col. Al Affari.
Al Affari emphasized that cooperation through the program “I am patriotic… I respect the law” will yield further cooperation and a community-based partnership, through which both sides will seek to achieve the common goals set for the targeted community segments. It is noteworthy that young people and students are the optimal segment of society to instill the moral values for the service of community and to achieve long-term stability, of which the law respect culture is one of its most important pillars. Concluding, he noted that the Law Respect Culture Bureau will be taking part in a program to qualify volunteers and students, which will be implemented by Watani – UAE in its upcoming project.
