The Community Police Department, in cooperation with Abdul Jaleel Al Faheem Endowment, continues to distribute Iftar meals, supported by a group of young volunteers. The distribution of Iftar meals is an annual Ramadan program and takes place throughout the entire Holy Month of Ramadan.

Captain Salim Mubarak Al Shamsi, Head of the Community Police Affairs in Abu Dhabi, said: “A group of young volunteers were involved in the program by participating within the activities carried out by the community police.” He added that the community members are more aware of the importance of volunteer work, which is a very significant humanitarian and social activity.

Al Shamsi stressed that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters supports and encourages volunteers in order to spread the social cooperation culture within society. He said that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters also urges volunteer work in different humanitarian and social fields, as it appreciates the distinguished humanitarian role carried out by philanthropists in this regard.

Volunteers have contributed in distributing Iftar meals to motorists, alongside the Community Police Patrols at the Comprehensive Police Centers in Abu Dhabi City and its suburbs.
