The Ministry of Interior called on all UAE nationals, residents, GCC nationals and individuals who hold and entry visa from the border port, to register for the Electronic Ports’ project "E-Gate service". Registration begins tomorrow, Sunday 28th of July, at the Bawabat Al Sharq Center in Bani Yass.
Major Mohammad Ahmed Al Zaabi, Director of the E-Port Project, indicated that, as per the Ministry of Interior’s plan, registration will continue at the aforementioned center until next Thursday August 1st, 2013. Moreover, he noted that the media campaign which calls on members of the public to register for the project will resume on the first working day after Eid Al Fitr on August 18th, at Delma Mall. Registration will then move to Al Ain City, and the related schedules will be announced at a later date.
Major Mohammad Al Zaabi said that the registration procedure for the E-Port Project is free of charge. "Those wishing to register should bring their passports, the procedure does not exceed 20 seconds", he added. Concluding, he noted that the Project aims at providing the E-Gate service, simplifies travel procedures through the country’s ports and streamlines travelers’ entry and exit in no more than 15 seconds.
