“Police Friends” group visits Traffic and patrols Department 

 

Children of the Police Friends Group with special needs visited ADP Traffic and Patrols Department to learn about traffic safety.  

1st Lt. Jumaa Al Hosani, from Public Relations section at the Department has received the children. He has briefed them on traffic basics, best methods of road use and driving, different traffic signals and signs, type of vehicles and motor bikes in use by patrol and their role in traffic control and organization.

Al Hosani believes that the initiative of Police Friends Group is one of initiative which ADP is keen on as part of its strategy to communicate with different community segments. ADP Departments, through their programmes and activities, give care to schools children and educate them on policing areas, especially those with special need.

Al Hosani said “These children have high security sense and are aware of what services the Department of Traffic and Patrols deliver. Thus they gain high culture about policing in general”, added Al Hosani.

The Police Friends Group which been launched recently by ADP includes children from ADP disabled="disabled" Care and Rehabilitation center, Al Batteen Model School for boys and Horizons Model School for Girls.
