Mock fire drill to check response readiness
A mock fire drill was organized by the purchases and warehouses department of the General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police.
The exercise was a part of the plan of the Abu Dhabi Police to upgrade the standard of its readiness of its various departments to meet emergencies and also to provide training to its personnel’s in handling such situations.
The mock fire supposedly caused by a short-circuit was attended by Brigadier Ahmed Saedd Al Mahri,director of the purchase and warehouse department ,Lt Col.Saeed Saif Al Naumi,deputy director of the department and number of other officers.
The exercise involved personnel’s from central operations department, rapid action unit of the civil defence department, forenisic department and crime department. The exercise also included coordination between the departments concerned in the field of evacuation and rescuing of the victims.
The rescue and ambulance department conducted the exercise of rescuing two persons injured while putting out the blaze.
