Abu Dhabi Police has aired a video of a horrific traffic accident as a motorist overtook a red light on a street in Abu Dhabi city, causing serious damage to road users.
The video, which was broadcast as part of the "Your Comment" initiative in collaboration with the Center for Follow-up and Control - Abu Dhabi, reveals the serious danger and serious consequences of some drivers overtaking the red light signal due to inattention and busyness on the road.
ADP called on drivers to pay attention and focus while driving and avoid using the phone to browse the Internet and social media while driving, to avoid derailment or traffic disruption, and to bypass the red light.
ADP stressed that the fine of violation exceeded the red light light signal for light vehicles (1000) dirhams and 12 traffic points and the reservation of the vehicle 30 days, and for trucks violating financial 3000 dirhams and the suspension of the license for one year starting from the date of the withdrawal of the license for heavy vehicles exceeding the red flag.
