​The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police has confirmed that its interest in educating and educating workers and appreciating their role in the process of renaissance and development stems from the uae's policy, which cooperates proactively with the international community to protect workers and respect their rights by focusing on employment, wages, housing, health, safety and security.


ADP explained in a report on the occasion of The International Day of Workers, which falls on May 1st of each year, that she carried out campaigns to protect workers and enhance their safety and protection from the Corona pandemic and distributed safety masks on them in their areas of presence in Mafraq, Mussafah Industrial, Hamim industrial and Ghayathi in Al Dhafra region and Al Ain Industrial Area and al-Kharir  labor camp behind Bawadi mall in Al Ain.

It focused on raising awareness of precautionary measures through repeated washing of hands properly, wearing muzzles, physical spacing, leaving proper distances between them during their travels, not remaining in gatherings, and making them aware of the need to wear muzzles and gloves that protect them from the risk of infection due to injury due to transmission from one person to another, taking precautionary measures and staying in their homes. Among the various groups of society to eliminate the epidemic, she advised them to follow the guidelines issued by the official health authorities in the country to prevent the Corona pandemic.

During 2019, Abu Dhabi Police focused its attention on implementing sports activities for workers while motivating them to excel in sports in their labor cities, and carried out numerous awareness lectures that benefited thousands and in multiple languages, as well as legal, traffic and security education through its social media platforms and various media outlets.

ADP gave them symbolic and in-kind gifts at their celebrations and urged drivers to protect them from traffic accidents, reduce speeds near their labor towns, their places of residence at industrial facilities in Abu Dhabi, and places where agricultural workers gather on the roads.

Brig. Gen. Mohammed Dahi al-Hamri, Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, explained that the safe transport of workers, and their response to the Corona pandemic, is one of the important priorities of Abu Dhabi Police, in accordance with the principles of respect for the value of work and authentic human values, and the principles sent by the state in the approach of tolerance to all segments of society.

He called on bus drivers to abide by preventive measures to protect them from the spread of the epidemic, including reducing their numbers on the bus, sitting in space on the bus, and making sure they were committed to wearing sleeves. He called for adherence to scheduled speeds, leaving sufficient safety distance between vehicles, ensuring the safety of the vehicle, the validity of the tyres and the periodic maintenance of the vehicle.

The Community Policing Department in the Community Security Sector has issued an online awareness booklet in several languages entitled "Our workers are a symbol of our tolerance" in conjunction with World Labor Day.

Colonel Dr. Hammoud Saeed Al-Afari, Director of the Community Police Department, said the booklet focused on developing the knowledge and life skills of workers with the set of laws enacted by the UAE, the State of Justice and Tolerance, to establish the human right to work, support it and make it aware of the fixed rights.

The booklet warned against behaviors punishable by law and legislation such as the use of drugs and psychotropic substances of all kinds, with the statement of penalties for dealing with all forms of narcotic substances, as well as advice on the new Corona pandemic and the application of preventive health requirements currently implemented by the state and urged them to abide by precautionary measures.
