Abu Dhabi Police has confirmed that leaving children in vehicles alone while shopping or for any other reason and endangering their lives is a punishable offence and anyone found to be negligent in such cases will be referred to the judicial authorities for legal action. Abu Dhabi Police explained that leaving children in vehicles may cause death or suffocation due to lack of oxygen and high temperatures inside the vehicle or moving it as a result of tampering with the transmission and accident or being assaulted or even stealing a car.
The police appealed to families not to rely on others when they get out of the car and leave the children in the back seats in a sleepy or sleepy state, or to give responsibility for taking care of them to their older siblings, especially during the summer period, which causes them to suffocate if the car stops operating completely.
Abu Dhabi Police said that the incidents of suffocation of children inside the car, and they alone are due to the neglect of families in the first place because the child is not aware of the risks that surround him due to his lack of awareness of things, and here comes the role of parents in protecting the child from himself and others, where the role of the family is vital in this context, wishing that such incidents do not occur that kill innocent people.
