The General Directorate of Civil Defense Abu Dhabi has launched the first fire truck of its kind in the region equipped with medical oxygen cylinders and control outlets identical to those available in ambulances with the aim of providing oxygen to firefighters through 5 ports with one outlet per fireman.

It allows firefighters to recover quickly after being exposed to fire smoke inhalation while they are extinguished, as well as supporting and protecting them, increasing their productivity and improving their performance in the line of duty.

Brigadier General Mohammed Ibrahim Al Ameri, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense - Abu Dhabi, explained that the new car comes within a smart system of devices and mechanisms in accordance with the highest international standards and practices in the field of prevention, safety and fire fighting in cooperation with the Directorate of Emergency and Public Safety of Abu Dhabi Police.

The General Administration had recently adopted the latest smart devices with the aim of ensuring the continuity of firefighters' tasks in the most difficult conditions while ensuring their safety from choking incidents.

The price of the unlimited support provided by the wise leadership to improve the development of devices and human resources, especially during the period of the Corona pandemic, through the provision of support and support and development of many of the machinery and equipment used in the field of fire fighting, which depends on reducing the use of water and foam in various types of fires.

He pointed out that the department worked on the development of all mechanisms with a field action plan to simulate the mechanisms used to extinguish fires in accordance with best practices and adopt them in the future after proving their quality in the field.

He added: The device works to support the fire men by providing them with artificial breathing when they are affected by smoke inhalation while performing fire tasks.

He explained that it allows the fire crew to renew and strengthen the breathing energy and then return after a few minutes to support the team where this has a positive effect in instilling a spirit of reassurance to the teams and continue the work at a consistent and ideal pace as well as protecting fire crews from choking accidents.
