The Al Dhafra District Police Directorate participated in securing the annual Liwa Wet Festival, which is held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and aims primarily to exchange technical expertise among farmers to cultivate the best and finest wet types.

Colonel Hamdan Saif al-Mansouri, director of the Al-Dhafra police directorate, said the festival embodies the approach of the founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his timeless saying "Give me a transplant." I guarantee you a civilization," he said over the years, has contributed to making agriculture a culture for members of society.

He explained that the festival is one of the most important heritage and community events that our wise leadership is proud of, providing him with the potential and great support to achieve his outstanding successes year after year, believing in the importance of spreading the green area and agriculture in our lives.

He added: The Directorate of Police of al-Dhafra region, as usual every year, confirms its great interest in cooperating with various local government agencies to highlight the great success of this heritage festival and to emphasize the distinctive status of liwa oasis located on the outskirts of the Empty Quarter Desert, which is considered one of the most important palm growing areas in the world.

He said that the Directorate will continue to perform its security role to preserve our cultural gains in cooperation and partnership with various entities, hoping that the festival will witness a major breakthrough in providing the needs of its pioneers through visual communication and introducing the good varieties of dates that we cherish as an original heritage.
