Abu Dhabi Police has warned families not to fall victim to fraudsters who stalk children, teenagers and adults through online games, advertisements, tempting links and communication forums to seize their money in illegal ways using various methods of deception and misinformation to lure their victims and impersonate unreal characters.
ADP pointed out that there have been cases of electronic violations in recent times with the spread of the virus "Covid-19", such as cases of luring internet users and social media sites to film videos contrary to the public morals of victims and then threatening and blackmailing them to reach their criminal goals.
ADP appealed to parents to give their children more attention and follow up on the list of websites and electronic games they frequent, especially as students increasingly spend long hours learning distance and give them confidence and security and not to be reprimanded and encouraged to be honest with any violations or cases of electronic blackmail they may be exposed to.
ADP called for reporting such cases by calling Safety Service on 8002626 to take legal action against them to protect the community from such crimes.
