ADP and Civil Aviation warn against illegal use of Paramotors
The General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi Police and the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GCAA) have launched the "Commitment-Taslam" awareness campaign to educate users of Paramotors with safety laws and requirements to ensure the safety and security of users, the public and public and private property, and to limit the indiscriminate proliferation and misuse of this type of activity.
Abu Dhabi Police warned the public against the use of gliders in areas not designated for them or without a license in accordance with federal law No. 20 of 1991 and the regulations of light air sports, pointing out that they have prepared in cooperation with the General Authority for Civil Aviation a mechanism for communications concerning the random and illegal practices of light air sports, and explained that all those who are arrested are referred to the judicial authorities to take legal action against them.
ADP also warned of the need to practice these activities under the umbrella of one of the clubs approved by the General Authority for Civil Aviation, namely Abu Dhabi Light Sports Club and Al Jazeera Club in Ras Al Khaimah, inviting users of gliders and lovers of these activities to visit the website of the General Authority for Civil Aviation www.gcaa.gov.ae in order to learn about regulations, regulations, security and safety conditions.
