Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers not to leave 5 hazardous materials that can be flammable and explosive in the summer, namely, a compressed perfume bottle, a sanitizer spray, a gas canister, a mobile charger, a telephone battery and a cigarette lighter, and called for vehicles to be free of these materials for their own safety.
ADP noted that the presence of these hazardous substances inside the vehicle, especially during the day, and exposure to heat and sunlight, even if not directly on them, could lead to disaster.
It warned that its a big risk leaving the cigarette lighter inside the car, which could explode with heat because of the presence of iron pieces in its components, causing friction that causes fire.
Its stated that driver s may not be aware of the danger of leaving small gas canisters in the vehicle, as the friction of each other as the vehicle moved and the heat was high.
ADP pointed out that the excess heat in the weather can destroy the internal cells of the phone battery, causing an internal electric space to cause fire.
