37,949 people benefited from the activities and programs of managing social support centers in the Community Security Sector of Abu Dhabi Police last year.
It has dealt with 6,250 cases that have been resolved in friendly and confidential ways by a selection of experts and specialists in the fields of psychology.
Colonel Saeed Hamad Saleh al-Kaabi, Director of the Department of Social Support Centers, confirmed that the services provided by the centers in Abu Dhabi- Al Dhafra - Al Ain "include psychological and social consultations and dealing with all kinds of psychological and physical abuse of the child and family and the speed of response when reporting family disputes, bullying, emergency intervention and rehabilitation services for the violent.
It also includes the rehabilitation of the provisions of the vision of the concubine, the provision of the appropriate place and a safe environment, while ensuring the psychological stability of the child and his full right to see his or her parents, as well as awareness services in meetings, campaigns and events to raise awareness of the child's rights and protection mechanisms.
He pointed out abu dhabi police's interest in programs to educate children and families about a variety of content that suits them and promotepositive communication in innovative ways and distinct activities and scenarios implemented by the best standards such as Safe Child City 2019, which is one of the initiatives to raise the level of child care with a legal system and legislation to protect it.
He said that the department of social support centres organizes training courses for the rehabilitation and licensing of specialists in accordance with the specified criteria, applying all the requirements adopted in the United Arab Emirates, as well as workshops for relevant groups and direct contact with children from teachers and social specialists in schools to raise awareness, guidance, early detection of abuse, bullying and identification of reporting methods.
He stated that the services are implemented through the regulations and laws in accordance with a distinct security system and development plans that achieve the visions and ambitions of abu dhabi police in maintaining gains, security and security.
He touched on the humanitarian work and field work of psychologists and social workers in events and initiatives and provides them with consultations and direct communication with the public to obtain positive outcomes and the best results in spreading awareness.
He pointed out that psychological and social support and dealing with cases are carried out in complete secrecy and seek to solve them and support positive and proactive behavior through awareness and focus on families.
