Under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of interior, Zayed House for Family Care has organized a ceremony marking the Arab Orphan’s Day, under the slogan “ we are all one family”, at the Kids Park, in Al Bahyia area.
The celebration was attended by Nasser Lekhrebani Al Nuaimi, owner of Kids Park project, Salim Al Kaabi, director general of the Zayed House for Family Care, a number of officials and orphans and a huge crowd of citizens and expatriates.
Al Nuaimi said that the celebration comes as a reminder of orphans because Islam urges us to take care of them.
He added one of the basic requirements for development is to create better future for children; they are tomorrow’s women and men. Therefore, our country provided utmost care for them.
“By losing one or both parents, children lose many advantages, therefore, the county, through its organizations, seeks to provide psychological and social support to them.”, added Al Nuaimi.
For his part, Salim Al Kaabi, director general of the Zayed House for Family Care said, “HH Sheikh Saif's patronage of the event highlights his commitment to maintaining support for all deprived children”.
A group of orphans at the Zayed House presented the Youla folkloric dance, and Emirati singer Al Yaziay and Al Sanafir Kuwaiti band have also presented fabulous shows.
The Police Dog Unit at Abu Dhabi Police also presented attractive shows that received the admiration of the audience.
Al Nuaimi and other participants toured the heritage exhibition which was held on the sidelines of the celebration. He also viewed the drawings of some orphans of the Zayed House and reacted with them.
At the end of the celebration, the Zayed House for Family Care has presented a souvenir to the HH Sheikh Saif, and also honored Nasser Al Nuaimi, owner of Kids Park for hosting the ceremony. Abu Dhabi municipality and some journalist were also honored.
Family and kids park zoo is aiming to develop the capabilities of children and creating a natural environment, in an attempt to establish the relation between human being and nature. It also encourages children to preserve the environment and care for all types of animals especially domesticated ones.
Visiting children can experience touching and feeding a variety of animals, and can play with cats, reptiles and ride dwarf camels and horses.
The zoo includes farm animals such as horses, camels, cows, donkeys, rabbits, etc, and wild animals such as lion, tiger, zebra, and monkeys. It also includes birds, fishes, and reptiles from around the globe, including snakes, frogs and rare crocodiles.
