Women police continues their show of strength

 

Women Police accompanied by the Police Music Band presented special show to Abu Dhabi Mall visitors, on Saturday evening.

The evening began with a parade by women police elements through the mall corridors accompanied by the musical piece of "Field March". Then they gathered at the center of the mall where the public gathered around them. The women police elements presented policing and sports skills, in addition to weapons assembling and disassembling show, accompanied by Emirati and Arab tunes. The audience responded with singing and applause. Then the elements staged the programme titled "My Journey" showing Emirati women ambitions and stages of joining police force.

Hanan Mohammad Aidha, from Police Schools Department said "Her ambition was to join police for. So she completed her university studies, Faculty of Education (English Language) and joined the batch number 29. Her family did not oppose her desire, but the encouraged her".

"I feel proud to join the celebration of the graduation of first batch of women police in 1978 and to show the public the achievements of Emirati women due to her will, determination and higher leadership support", added Aidha.

"Policewomen have joined all fields of police work. We have firs crime scene employee, sniffer dog trainer etc. I trust that women police elements can stand side by side with men to protect the country", added Aidha.

Mohammad Hamadan, from Abu Dhabi Mall Management and organizer of women police shows said 'Such celebrations add an atmosphere of happiness and joy to the public and acquaint them with the women police achievements and their aspirations. This not something unusual for ADP GHQ which has changed the traditional concept of police force".

 Nawal Al Basheer, a Sudanese Teacher, expressed her happiness with the splendid evening presented by women police elements accompanied by the Police Music Band, and she said "I have learnt about the beginning of women police 32 anniversary celebrations. I could not attend marina and Wahda malls evenings. But I have decided not to miss Abu Dhabi Mall evening. Today's show has attracted audience admiration and the quizzes also have witnessed great response from the public. The audience have learned about the development stages of women police and different sciences they receive at police school. Such events strengthen police and community solidarity which assists in security and stability maintenance".

Police women shows will continue until 04 October 2010.
