A police delegation from Tunisia applauded the significant development efforts deployed by Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters in all police domains, by following state-of-the-art technologies and applying world-class standards.
It also praised the community work at the Community Police Department, confirming that the mechanism followed surpasses by far that in European countries, thanks to the communication system with the community, and the partnership systems linking it to governmental entities and the public sector.
The delegation viewed the electronic surveillance systems and the community police experience at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations, met the delegation headed by Towfiq Al Damasi, Director General of Public Safety in the Republic of Tunisia. The two sides discussed strengthening cooperation between Abu Dhabi Police and Tunisian Police.
Major General Al Raisi reaffirmed at the meeting the police leadership’s solicitude for utilizing electronic systems adopted by Abu Dhabi Police to provide best services to citizens in record times. He pointed out the concern shown by the UAE to qualify police cadres which are considered the cornerstone of progress and prosperity.
Major General Al Raisi commended the cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Tunisian Police, stating that Tunisian paramedics were the first to join the Emergency and Public Safety Department at Abu Dhabi Police. The meeting was wrapped up by the exchange of commemorative gifts between Major General Al Raisi and the Tunisian delegation.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Dr. Saif Salem Bu Dhfaira Al Ameri, Director General of Security and Ports Affairs; Brigadier Ismail Al Sirkal, Deputy Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations; Colonel Rashid Salem Al Mazrouei, Acting Director of Crisis and Disasters Department; Major Mohammed Salem Haboush, Head of Security Systems Division at the Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations Department; and Major Mubarak Al Khayili, of INTERPOL office in Abu Dhabi at the Ministry of Interior; in addition to members of the Tunisian delegation Towfiq Al Damasi, Director General of Public Safety in the Republic of Tunisia; Murad Al Sibaei, Director of the Judicial Police and Interpol in Tunisia; and Zuhair Al Siddiq, Director of Central Operations.
The delegation also visited the Operations and Control Center at the Capital Police Directorate, where they were welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Deputy Director of Central Operations.
The delegation listened to a detailed explanation by officials from the Operations and Control Center regarding the adopted security systems, including closed TV monitoring systems like Eagle’s Eye (Ain Al Saqer), hotel surveillance systems and Yas Marina Circuit system, as well as automatic alert systems, fire alarms and report recording system.
The Tunisian delegation expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Abu Dhabi Police for granting them the opportunity to view the remarkable experiences in security work. The visiting delegation was impressed by the advanced level attained by Abu Dhabi Police.
At the Abu Dhabi Police Community Police Department, the delegation was welcomed by Director Lt. Colonel Mubarak bin Mehairoum, in the presence of many officers and personnel. A documentary video was played at the meeting about police on-foot patrols, communication in residential areas, and cooperation between community police personnel and the community to resolve daily issues.
