Traffic Awareness Exhibition attracts big audience in Al Ain
The Traffic Awareness Exhibition held recently at the Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain has attracted unprecedented audience. The exhibition was organized as part of the 27th GCC Traffic Week which themed “together to reduce traffic accidents”.
According to Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Bloushi, chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section, traffic awareness will continue over the year in collaboration with all media outlets, to embody the Abu Dhabi Police strategy which aims at reducing traffic accidents and deaths.
He said that the visitors have reacted with the contests organized by the section in coordination with Al Ain Police public relations section. The contests included questions related to enhancing public traffic safety and valuable gifts were given to the winners.
As part of the intensive awareness campaign, said Al Bloushi, pamphlets were distributed in a number of petrol stations in Al Ain city and along the external roads including Al Ain – Abu Dhabi road, Al Ain-Dubai road, Al Ain- Al Wagan road and Mazyad road. The slogan of the Traffic Week was also placed on the ATMs and on 50 school buses, 54 patrols and 11 vehicles belonging to SAED.
The slogan was also placed on large electronic screens at the public park in Al Jahlei area, and on the facades of the commercial centers in Al Ain, among others.
Al Bloushi emphasized that the traffic week is organized annually to ensure that the awareness message has been delivered to all the segments of the community, and to upgrade the level of traffic awareness among the members of the public.
He extended thanks and appreciation to all the public and private institutions for their efforts to make this event a success.
