Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior met in his office on Monday, the Arab Family Organization Award’s Supreme Committee, chaired by Dr. Jamal Al Beh, AFO Chairman, and general supervisor of the award.
His Highness was briefed during the meeting, on the organization’s role and activities in the service of the Arab family, as well as its plans for the next phase.
Dr. Jamal Al Beh congratulated His Highness on being voted the winner of the inaugural edition of the Award, held under the kind patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He also discussed with His Highness preparations for the Award’s official ceremony to be held this coming May, as well as another popular event to be held in the city of Abu Dhabi.
Moreover, AFO Chairman briefed His Highness on the Arab Family Organization’s various theses and programs, which concern Emirati families in particular and the Arab family in general; most notably the proposal to train and qualify domestic help to reduce their risks and problems. A number of proposals and regulations to protect the Arab family were also discussed during the meeting.
His Highness also reviewed the draft book project titled: “Saif bin Zayed, a social imprint”, authored by Dr. Abu Bakr Hussein, media adviser to Sheikha Latifa bint Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Child Creativity.
The book includes six chapters: (i) “Zayed Al Khair: humanity’s first school of family cohesion”; (ii) “Saif bin Zayed: a humanitarian story between time, space and man”; (iii) “Culture of household safety and security an indelible timeless imprint”; (iv) “Societal security in Saif bin Zayed’s mind”; (v) “Saif bin Zayed: outstanding achievements in humanitarian action”; and (vi) “Saif bin Zayed’s Strategy and Philosophy to enhance household security”. The book also features a final chapter titled: “Saif bin Zayed in the eyes of the human elite”.
His Highness lauded the Arab Family Organization Award’s efforts in the service of the Arab family, and expressed his appreciation for the proposed upcoming book.
Moreover, Amina Al Dabous, Executive Director of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohamed Award for Child Creativity, presented to HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, a copy of the book “Zayed promised”, published by the Award. She also conveyed him the greetings of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum, the wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Chairman of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohamed Award for Child Creativity.
The meeting was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director - General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness the Minister of Interior; Dr. Jamal Al Beh, Chairman of the Arab Family Organization (AFO), general supervisor of the award; and Dr. Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the Award’s Supreme Committee, and Director General of the Zayed Foundation for Charity. Also attending were members of the committee; Amina Al Dabous, Executive Director of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohamed Award for Child Creativity; retired Colonel Saif bin Salem Al Shamsi, and Dr. Abu Bakr Hussein, General Coordinator of the Award.
