Saif bin Zayed attends graduation of 116 trainees with special needs
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior attended on Tuesday at ADP Officers’ Club the graduation ceremony of 116 trainees with special needs.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Interior Centers for Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Special Needs. HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research was present at the ceremony.
HH confirmed that MoI centers progressed in steady steps since their establishment in 2002. They attracted the attention of similar international organizations. MoI care for people with special needs was following the steps of the late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and in response to the directions of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE, and HH’s keenness to provide work opportunities for UAE citizens.
Sheikh Saif confirmed that the efforts of finding jobs for persons with special needs would continue. We were happy with the achievements made by MoI centers.
The ceremony started with the citing of verses from the Holy Quran presented by Hamad Ibrahim Al Mammary, one of the graduates. Mr. Nasser Ali bin Aziz Al Shareefi, General Supervisor of MoI Centers, stated that this celebration concur with the Programme “Irada” launched by HH the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior. After seven years the centers succeeded in achieving economical and social integration of persons with special needs into society. 403 male and female trainees had been graduated. 363 of these joined work in public and private organizations. He invited the graduates to change their disabilities to successes in the future, and to set an example for those who would come after them. At the end of his speech he thanked HH the Deputy Prime Minister, minister of Interior for his continuous care and support of this segment of the society.
Then the graduate Mohammad Abdullah Al Juneibi, delivered a speech on behalf of his colleagues, where he expressed their thanks and gratitude to HH Sheikh Saif for his efforts towards people with special needs. He also thanked the General supervisor of MoI Centers, all Administrators and Instructors for their efforts.
Then the present watched a documentary film showing the achievements and efforts made by MoI Centers so far.
At the end of the ceremony HH the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, accompanied by HH the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Mr. Nasser Ali Aziz gave away the certificates to the graduates. HH gave away Excellence Trophy to HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and Gratitude Trophy to Lt. General (S) said Khalaf Al Rumaithi, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces. HH also honored a number of organizations for their efforts in providing work opportunities for the graduates.
The ceremony was attended by Lt. General (S) Said Khalaf Al Rumaithi, Deputy Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces, Major General Khalifa Harib Al Kheeli, assistant Undersecretary of MoI for Resources and Support Services, Major General Khaleel Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services, major general Nasser Salim La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary general of HH the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior’s office, Major general Ahmed Nasser Al Risi, director general of central Operations, senior police officers, parents of graduates and guests.
