His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Minister of Interior inaugurated today Monday the 5th International Security & National Resilience (ISNR) Exhibition & Conference held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

His Highness stressed in a statement on the occasion that the 5th ISNR 2012 Conference and exhibition comes at a time during which our governmental entities acquired vast experiences and expertise in organizing specialized international conferences, by adopted the best global practices, and inspired by the wisdom of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi; His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice president, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler; and their brothers the members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, the Rulers of the Emirates. This is accompanied by the close supervision of His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces resulting in further achievements in this regard.

His Highness added that through the wisdom of its supreme leadership, the UAE was able to be one of the first countries who paid attention to global security challenges, and the latest developments of our contemporary world. He mentioned that the UAE was keen to promote economical and investment infrastructures in a safe and secured environment equipped with skilled and sufficient human resources that has the knowledge about the latest trends.

His Highness noted that the UAE is one of the most secured countries in the world, and achieving this required the efforts of all parties (institutes and individuals) and their hard working with the aim of maintaining the security, stability and all accomplishments of the UAE in all sectors. He explained that this conference is a valuable opportunity for the region’s governments and the institutions of private sector concerned with security, with the aim of exchanging experiences with all participating and exhibiting companies. The conference is also an opportunity for exploring the latest systems and global technologies in the fields of security, safety, countering crime and eliminating it.

He concluded by expressing his hope in achieving all the objectives of the conference in promoting cooperation and coordination among countries in police and security sector in a way that helps in achieving the aspirations of these countries in countering crime in a fast moving world that requires more cooperation to face all challenges. He wished the UAE guests a pleasant stay in their second home, and the best results at the conference and exhibition.

Following the inauguration, His Highness toured the exhibition during which he visited a number of participating national and global pavilions. He reviewed the equipment and technologies on display, and was accompanied by H.E. Hamod Faisal Al Bu Saidi, Oman’s Minister of Interior; H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior; H.E. Muhannad Al Onsur, Moroccan Minister of Interior; H.E. Fawzi Abdul Aal, Libya’s Minister of Interior; H.E. Hasan Darrar Hufenah, Djibouti’s Minister of Interior; a number of Deputy Ministers of Interior; Heads of Participating Delegations; Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zyani, Secretary General of the GCC; a number of Ambassadors; Consuls and members of Diplomatic Missions in the UAE; and members of participating delegations.
